A Life So Young

Again tragedy has befallen
This little circle of mine.
As I sit and try to ponder
Why a young life was lost
Way before his time.

The only way I can cope, I hope
Is to know that it must be God’s Will,
But then again I wonder,
“Couldn’t He have waited, until?”

It saddens me deeply
Though I do not know you well
Cause I know what you are feeling
Though I know not how to tell.

My heart goes out to you today
As it will in the coming weeks
I only wish I could put into words
And give you the answers that you seek.

I know this isn’t much
But it is all that I can do.
Just know that I am here
And my condolences are with you.
